Dr. Marotta is a facial plastic surgeon and has attained his education and training at some of the finest institutions in the world.  He attended Columbia University and graduated as president of the medical honor society at SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine.  He trained at Yale University in head and neck surgery and was consistently recognized as the top head and neck surgeon in the program.  He achieved board certification upon completion of his residency.  Dr. Marotta then completed additional subspecialty training as a fellow in facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery at one of the leading facial plastic fellowships in the country.

Dr. Marotta specializes in facial plastic surgery with particular expertise and interest in minimally invasive (endoscopic) facial plastic surgery and facial rejuvenation (surgical and non-surgical).

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Marotta is actively involved in the teaching and training of other physicians and holds the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at SUNY Stony Brook.  He has additional hospital privileges at St. Catherine of Siena in Smithtown. 

Dr. Marotta has achieved a medical doctorate with distinction in research and has published several scientific articles including articles on revision rhinoplasty and the midface lift.  He continues to conduct research and write medical manuscripts.  He is a fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) and the American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery (AAOHNS).  Dr. Marotta regularly attends medical conferences to stay abreast of the latest advances.

As a physician, Dr. Marotta feels a deep sense of responsibility to devote time to humanitarian causes.  Last year, Dr. Marotta was a member of a reconstructive surgical team which traveled to Ecuador to perform microtia surgery (to construct ears for children born with little or no external ear).  He is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery’s “FACE to FACE-National Domestic Violence” program for which he volunteers time to help victims of domestic abuse who cannot afford to receive treatment for facial injuries.
